Caixinha pretende usar semana livre no Santos para ‘dar fôlego’ a recém-chegados após tropeço
O Santos terá um novo time ao longo do Brasileirão com a chegada de muitos reforços. Mas a estreia diante do Vasco, com derrota de virada por 2 a 1, neste domingo, não foi o esperado. O técnico Pedro Caixinha quer usar a semana livre de treinos para “dar fôlego” aos contratados e deixá-los em condições de atuar os 90 minutos.
Diante dos cariocas, sem Neymar e Soteldo, o treinador apostou em Rollheiser e Barreal e ambos acabaram substituídos por causa do desgaste. Assim como Tiquinho Soares não aguentou atuar os 90 minutos. O técnico confia muito nos atletas e espera recuperá-los para o jogo com o Bahia, no domingo.
“Não tivemos queda de rendimento por causa do físico. Mas um ou outro teve dificuldade. Tiquinho estava cansado, Barreal fez uma grande partida, mas tivemos de tirá-lo já pelo desgaste em termos de ritmo, assim como o próprio Rollheiser, com altos e baixos”, listou Caixinha, que vai tentar dar mais ritmo ao trio com trabalhos intensos na semana.
Havia a expectativa que Barreal atuasse os 90 minutos por já vir em atividade no Cruzeiro, mas o jogo “errado” do Santos em São Januário acabou prejudicando-0. O técnico vai, além de focar na parte física, buscar algumas soluções de comportamento no campo
“Ter controle emocional do jogo é importante. Mas convidamos (o Vasco) a nos pressionar e ele começou a ganhar duelos. A questão física não é só pelo (que indica o) GPS, de qualquer maneira, quando não se tem a bola, sofre mais, tem de correr mais e foi o que aconteceu neste jogo”, avaliou o técnico, revelando o foco a ser mexido para o duelo com o Bahia.
O técnico evitou falar sobre um possível retorno de Neymar por “respeito” aos demais jogadores. O astro continua em transição física após sofrer um problema muscular. Soteldo, ausência de última hora no Rio, deve ficar à disposição.
